We received both the washer and the electric dryer as a laundry set from LG and we are loving the super helpful AI setting that makes doing laundry quick and easy. The capacity is much larger than our previous washer and dryer which is helpful when washing and drying thick and bulky bedding. There are so many cycle options and the design is very modern and sleek. One thing separate from the product itself was that there were installation issues because our dryer came damaged. However with communication to the customer support service we were able to receive another dryer within two weeks.

The LG DLEX8500V dryer has a sleek premium look that really stands out. I use the AI feature often and for most loads it works great. However when drying bedding I noticed the AI cycle left my bedding damp. Switching to the dedicated Bedding cycle solved the issue so I recommend using that for bulky items. Other than that the AI functionality is convenient and makes drying simple. This dryer is impressively quiet which is a big plus. The LG ThinQ app adds another layer of convenienceyou can start or stop cycles remotely and get notifications when your clothes are done. That reminder feature is super helpful and keeps laundry moving without delays. Overall its a stylish smart dryer with great performance and useful app integration. Just keep in mind that bedding works best on its specific setting.

The AI feature ensures that clothes are thoroughly dried with sufficient time. My previous dryer from S brand used a moisture sensor but the drying was often insufficient. I like that I can check the drying progress through the ThinQ app its very convenient.

Its honestly hard to write a review about this product because there were so many issues along the way. But Im still happy that the unit is finally working properly and that I can write this review at all. Ill describe the delivery service and installation problems at the end. 1. Capacity There is even a separate Bedding cycle which shows how large and roomy it is. I havent tried drying a comforter yet but since my regular laundry fits comfortably Im sure blankets will fit just as easily. 2. Drying Cycles There are a variety of options. I prefer quick routines so I tried the Quick Dry cycle. Unfortunately the 30-minute Quick Dry didnt fully dry the clothes and I had to run it twice. The Normal Dry cycle takes about 45 minutes and works perfectly. The Quick Dry function being a bit underpowered was slightly disappointing. 3. Noise Level Unlike the washer this one has a bit more presence. Even with the laundry room door closed you can still tell its running. Its not loud enough to disrupt daily life but on a scale from 1 to 10 Id rate the noise around a 4. 4. App Use Connecting the dryer to the app was trickier than with the washer. I tried several times but couldnt get it to pair successfully so I ended up running the first few loads without the app. Because of that I havent really had a chance to use its smart features yet. 5. Design Its still beautiful. Stacked with the washer it looks very compact and modern. One small drawback is that shorter users may need a step stool to reach it comfortably. Im 55 and I have to stand on my tiptoes to use it. About the Service Experience I cant skip mentioning the service center. To be fair if I only focus on the product itself my satisfaction is very high. So Im rating this purely based on the dryer not the service. All the appliances in my house are LG and Ive used LG products for nearly ten years without a single issue which is why I trust the brand. The problem was the service. I placed my order on September 29 and the delivery arrived right on time on October 3. However due to a system error the installation team didnt have my dryer listed in their order system so they couldnt install it that day. They asked me to contact LG customer service to reschedule and thats where the nightmare began. Here are the issues I noticed with the customer service: Its very hard to reach an agent. The responsibility between departments is unclear so calls are constantly transferred. For example I was calling about a dryer installation but ended up speaking to four different departments. Even when I finally reached the correct department nothing was resolved. I was told a technician would call me within two days but no one ever did. I had to call five separate times to finally get a new appointment and the reinstallation was scheduled for October 17. But on the 17th the same issue happened again and the installation couldnt be completed. This time I directly asked for the installers phone number and contacted the team myself. Thanks to that I finally got the dryer installed on the 21st almost three weeks after the initial delivery. My experience with the service center was truly a nightmare. I believe that when people choose appliances they consider not just the products quality but also the reliability of after-sales support. What I went through was serious enough to shake my trust in LG even as someone who has always loved their products. Please dont take this feedback lightly. Thank you.

This dryer has made laundry so much easier and faster. The AI sensing is spot-on it automatically adjusts drying time so clothes come out perfectly dry without overheating. The TurboSteam feature is fantastic for refreshing clothes or getting rid of light wrinkles when I dont feel like ironing. The LCD display is bright and easy to navigate and the smart app notifications are surprisingly useful I can check cycle status or get alerts right from my phone. Its also incredibly quiet and efficient. The large drum easily handles bulky items like bedding and towels. Setup took just a little time to get used to with all the smart options but once you get the hang of it its simple and intuitive. The design of the unit is sleek and modern. I have now used the washer for about a week and found it to be great dryer. Great looking design. Similar to the paired washer having the dial is a great plus as I dont like just having the LCD. Starting the dryer takes little longer than expected. When you press the power button and the start button it doesnt start instantly There is slight lag but it does help prevent accidentally pressing the start button. There is quick dry cycle 30min which is very helpful when in a hurry. It would be nice to be able to adjust the dryig time for the quick dry. The clothes comes out dry and fluffy. I wasnt able to adjust the drying temperature under Normal cycle. Hopefully they can add this feature through ThinQ UP. I had it connected to ThinQ app and it was cool to be able to receive the alerts. I setup my LG TV to get the laundry alerts as well which is super convenient. It would be good to have new feature to turn on the Wrinkle care after I started the dryer since I always forget to turn it on. I like the steam feature to fluff my jackets and clothes that do not need to be washed. The best part is how quite the dryer is. You can barely hear any noise and it has large capacity. I was able to dry heavy loads without any problems. I do like that ThinQ app provides energy usage information which is helpful to manage how much electricity Im using. As for the tub light it was under the settings option same as the washer. Hopefully they can update this feature with ThinQ UP.

We received this product yesterday with a matching washing machine and we absolutely love it. We specifically love it due to being a multi-pet household and this product having the option for pet care drying. Having this option gives us the opportunity to ensure our old towels and blankets are clean and dry and ready for use for our three dogs. We also downloaded the LG app to keep track of how long we have until our clothes are dry. This gives us more flexibility to do other things while the clothes dry. I already love this product so much

Great Dryer

First of all I love the design color and mostly its size. With 7.4cu ft capacity it can fit a big blanket and other bulky items. The dryer is quiet and offers plenty of drying options from quick dry to heavy load. I love the new features like AI Dry which selects optimal dry setting automatically and Steamfresh mode which removes wrinkles in 11 minutes using steam and hot air. It is also ENERGY STAR certified which will be significantly more energy-efficient.

Yes they make us say that but this is my honest review. Got the matching washer and pedestal unit too so LG quality and design were important. This is a large capacity dryer with all the features you need from an electric one it even has a water line for the steam function during drying if you need that for less wrinkling and odors it works as advertised especially for those with stinky gym clothes - for those this is a must feature.
