Lint build up on door. Bad customer service

My biggest complaint is that the dryer door has lint on it constantly. Ive called LG several times and they asked me to do various things like adjust my vent pipe meant cutting into the wall replacing the lint trap cleaning the vent pipe expensive. NOne of these worked and now my 1 yr warranty ended and they wont pay for the repair. ITs obviously a faulty door seal. They routed me to their repair department and I was told it would cost me $400 for a technicion to come out and fix it. IF they know how to fix it and how much it costs why didnt they offer that when my warranty was still active???? Instead they just gave me the run around and frustrated me. Also for very soiled clothes they come out with the debris still on them. THe fabric is washed but there is still yard debris on the fabric that didnt get washed away.

Owned this thing for less than 3 years and nothing but issues. Read the reviews across all websites. The vibration sensor is awful. The struts are poorly made. Repair tech quoted $1k to fix the issues. Scrapping and buying another washer and dryer that is NOT LG. Nothing but problems.

Washer Cant Clean Stains

We purchased this unit a little over 2 years ago right before our child was born. Since then we have used it 2-3 times a week and have kept up with the routine maintenance like cleaning out the drain filter and running a tub cleaning. Now that our kid is getting older they are finding new ways of getting messy from things like food dirt and play activities pens paints etc. This washing machine just doesnt seem up to the task of cleaning clothes that have any kind of noticeable stains on it. Pasta sauces oranges blue berries grass food grease markers all leave stains that just WILL NOT COME OUT. We have tried everything we can think of - pre-soaking the clothes for 1hr in oxi clean using stain remover sprays and scrubbing the stain before washing putting laundry boosters in the wash running on high soil cycle. The clothes just come out with stains on them still. Sometimes the clothes come out with dark splotches like oil/grease stains that werent even there when they went into the wash. Weve used a dozen different laundry detergents from the free and clear all the way up to the maximum stain removers. Probably used a similar number of stain removers too. None of the other parents at our kids daycare have this issue even though their kids are getting all the same stains so the only conclusion we can come to is that this washing machine just SUCKS at getting stains out of clothes. If you have kids or are regularly getting your clothes actually dirty you should really stay away from this washer.

WORST customer service experience in my life.

I ordered this LG washer/dryer unit over a week ago and it was confirmed with free delivery and installation. The delivery team delayed the delivery by 3 days and when they finally came they did not even install the dryer or leave the chord needed to do it myself. I spent HOURS on the phone with customer service to get someone back out to fix it just to hear the customer service reps tell me theyve flagged the issue as urgent with management. It has been 2 full days and I still have NO response from anyone on when this will be fixed. After more than 5 hours on the phone with customer service I ended up going to Lowes and spending $70 more dollars to get what I needed to install it myself and will have to do the job that I was guaranteed would be done when my washer/dryer was delivered. After paying over $2000 for this washer/dryer unit and being told it included free delivery the service LG provided was absolutely unacceptable. I am baffled at the absolute negligence incompetency and horrific customer service experience. I will NEVER be purchasing anything from this website ever again.

We bought the LG Washtower almost five years ago and loved it. We used it almost daily and never had any problems. We recently moved and bought the Samsung version with a package. Compared to the LG we hated it We missed the LG so much that we donated the brand new Samsung and bought the LG again. The ONLY thing the Samsung did better was turn the drum light on when you open the door.

I purchase this expensive SUPPOSED TO BE TOP OF THE LINE right. May 2022. And LG was at my home April 2023 replacing the complete front Panel of the Washer and Glass Door and weatherstrip under LG warranty LEAKING ALL OVER MY EXPENSIVE FLOOR water leaking out causing The panel to RUST Replaced now 2.5 years later again Panel Rusted and Still leaking water and soap on my floor and NO one else has been in this unit but LG. Now we are also getting UE code with only i item in tbe Washer. I had a appliance company come out last week April 2025 and paid $250.00 for them to come out amd look through the glass door to tell me THE DRUM IS BENT AND UNBALANCED causing the machine not to function what it was intended for $2000. Unbelievable the company said WE CAN NOT TOUCH IT THE DRUM IS COVERAGE FOR LIFETIME and on Google under LG says Lifetime Parts for tbe DRUM. The motor is 10 years COVERAGE now LG says The Thin Q only has 3 year warranty for the DRUM PARTS ONLY sick of arguments so inpaid $458.00 for labor and am waiting on LG Service for a $2000 machine that is supposed to last 20 years. They sent a guy Tuesday that was nasty and told.me.that my appliance company that has been in business for 73 years is GARBAGE said that 2 times. He does not want to see any of thier documents LG does not send individuals like this in my home PERIOD I threw the guy out of my home amd they are sending another independent LG company out waiting on date. This is Outrageous for a $2000 Top of the line machine to have all these issues Unbelievable

I bought this unit in October of 2022. Not super impressed as I am now having to replace the noise filter and main PCB which is coming out to a cool $750 almost half the price of the machine itself. LG touts itself as a reliable company? Yeah right. Its amazing how things nowadays break *just* as your warranty expires. So yeah go ahead and spend the extra hundreds to make sure you have that extended warranty. And honestly I havent been impressed with the washing or drying either. Nothing special and its not Energy Star which is disappointing. It looks pretty Ill give it that.

Why are the doors not reversible????

I havent used it yet but never thought in a million years the doors would not be reversible Now I am stuck with it. The area where it needs to go fits it perfectly but the doors need to open from left to right. There is plenty of space to open the door completely if it was left to right but right to left will only allow them to open partially due to a fixed obstruction. I am so bummed right now.

Hamstrung by our new houses lack of a dryer vent in the laundry room and small floor space we were very limited on what type of washer/dryer combo was an option. I would rate the washing machine a 4.5. It does a good job of cleaning in a relatively short amount of time. The Dryer is a complete disappointment. 1. The drying time is inordinately long sometimes up to two hours for a load of towels 2. You cannot dry sheets in the unit without them rolling up into a sausage. Not even a top and bottom sheet. I have to go every 15 minutes and separate the sheets reload them into the dryer set it again....repeat. 3. There is no cooldown function nowhere to vent the heat so EVERYTHING comes out wrinkled. Incomprehensible that the engineers didnt think about how important cool down is with todays fabrics. 4. Even the lightest load or smallest load takes over an hour to dry. 5. Cant fluff cant air dry 6. Heat controls are pretty much useless leading to frequent shrinkage. 7. Much higher priced than any other brand I was expecting more.

In home delivery is horrible

We selected the in home delivery option and needed to have the product delivered to the third floor. There was nowhere to specify delivery location during initial shipping. When the crew showed up they said they needed a 4 man crew to get the washer up the stairs. Its been 5 weeks and we havent been able to get the delivery crew to get the washer to the third floor. LG support was useless in assisting us and referred us the delivery partner the delivery partner support has been horrible. Right now the machine is useless taking up space unplugged in the downstairs entry thus 1 star.

We have had our new washer/dryer unit for several months and so far its been great. Love how easy it is to use. Only complaint so far is since we bought the green unit Ive noticed the paint has chipped on the front of the dryer where clothes hit it when transferring it from the washer to dryer. It very small but disappointing. Otherwise they have been great.

Loud Screeching Noise Poor Customer Service

I must say I was extremely disappointed with this product and LG service. After a lot of research and strong recommendations from Consumer Reports touting LG as a reliable brand I opted to move on from my stackable GE units that performed admirably for the past 10 years. What a mistake. After just two days of using the unit the dryer began issuing a d80 error messages indicating a duct/vent issue. After about one month of operation the washer began making a very loud screeching noise during mid-cycle operation. I contacted LG to set up a warranty repair visit and a technician was supposed to contact me. After one week of radio silence I called LG and they directed me to call the service company directly. While I was able to contact them the service company informed me that they were not accepting any appointments for another month and a half. At this point I contacted LG again and they agreed to send out an LG technician to evaluate my unit. Unfortunately my bad luck continued. Upon arrival I shared sound/video footage of the screeching noise that I was consistently experiencing during wash cycles. The tech. then spent about 15 min. looking at the unit and said that he could replicate the problem and that the unit must be fine Thankfully I purchased this from Costco and they have great customer service and a 90 guarantee. I have decided to return the unit and move on from the LG Washtower. So disappointing as the product is a great concept but it appears it is not well made.

I have had this washtower for about a month now and I am very happy with it. It can handle large loads which in turn has cut down on my laundry loads. I also love how I can use ThinQ to get updates on my washing or drying loads as well as suggestions and notifications to improve how I am using my washtower.
